Alex Shumate is Managing Partner, North America for Squire Patton Boggs. In this role, Shumate provides strategic and operational guidance in pursuing new business opportunities regionally, nationally and internationally and in addressing issues arising from the firm’s 18 offices across the Americas.

where Shumate serves as Board Chairman. Shumate also serves on the Boards of the Capitol South Redevelopment Corporation and Wexner Center for the Arts. Shumate was named a 2016 “Ohio Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters, a distinction honoring the top 5 percent of lawyers in the state.
