A distraught trader, one of many affected by Thursday evening’s fire outbreak at Karu Market in Abuja, is in tears after losing goods worth about ₦10 million to the inferno. The woman, who spoke on Channels TV and did not mention her name, wondered how she would cope with the aftermath of the fire, lamenting that she may not be able to afford her children’s school fees. 'Everything has burnt down,' she lamented in a video shared by Channels TV on X. 'I couldn't recover anything. This is where we feed from. Ah, my children's school fees are gone too.'
