As part of the Government of Guyana’s Hinterland Electrification Programme, which aims to expand access to renewable energy in hinterland communities to enhance energy security and improve the quality of life for residents, some 200 solar systems have been distributed to households of Hosororo, Mabaruma, in Region One, a Department of Public Information (DPI) release stated yesterday.
