The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a release yesterday responded to a letter dated March 19 sent from Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro to the Secretary-General of the UN in which he asserted that “the territorial issue of Essequibo, has been dragged into the International Court of Justice without Venezuela’s consent, in open violation of the 1966 Geneva Agreement.”
