The second annual Flambeau concert hosted by True Talk No Lie (TTNL) will take place on June 29 at the Big Black Box, Woodbrook, and will showcase the diversity and talent of Trinidad and Tobago’s music scene.

Organisers said, thanks to the success of last year's concert, they have curated a lineup of ten local acts spanning various genres, including alternative, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, soca and dancehall.

Artistes expected to perform are Jimmy October, Full Blown, Mela Caribe, 1K, $teevoo, Juss Lizz, Jah Guidance, Roy Simmons, Breezydozit and Eko.

TTNL's website says the event was launched in 2013 as an open-mic series, providing a stage for poets, writers, singers, musicians and dancers to express themselves. During the pandemic, TTNL moved online and continues to showcase TT’s music scene every Thursday for three hours. The platform features both upcoming and established artists playing different genres, the website said.

TTNL hosted its first Flambeau concert in May 2023 to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Its website said: "The name Flambeau holds profound significance rooted in both our local cultural history and its symbolic representation. Defined simply as a flaming torch, the flambeau transcends mere illumination to embody resilience, resistance, and remembrance.
