A Black man who was homeless and suffering from mental illness was killed after being put in a chokehold by a white straphanger on a New York City subway train on Monday afternoon. Jordan Neely, 30, was alleged to have been ranting on the train when the 24-year-old subdued him. The former Marine was arrested by NYPD officers, then ultimately released.
