On Tuesday night, Alto High School sophomore basketball player DeVonte Mumphrey collapsed on the court during a game, passing away soon afterward. The school district has made grief counseling available to students on campus as of Wednesday morning. Mumphrey's passing was the second suffered by the school since 2015.
