Press Release:-  The town of Soufriere has been graced with a new Mayor. On Friday 10th September, 2021, history repeated itself as Mrs. Joan Hippolyte was sworn in as the female Mayor for the town. Also sworn in were the councillors; Teresa Prospere, Orlando Satchell, Chrishna St Brice, and Placide Lascaris. Her Worship, Mayor Hippolyte is elated with the selection and looks forward to working with the councillors. “I am honoured to serve the people. I endeavour to use our skills and talents to devise a structure to make Soufriere a better community” she uttered. Minister in the Prime Minister’s
