The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) has renewed an appeal to motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution on the road after a vehicle struck a 27-year-old-year-old female at Balata Monday morning around 9:30. EMS Manager Fernando James said the woman was walking when the vehicle struck her. James said the woman, conscious after the accident, complained of severe pain in her right side.
