WASHINGTON, D.C. - Puerto Rico officials said a report claiming President Trump is looking at ways to make the island independent from the US is false. Officials said the rumor started right after Puerto Rico’s Governor Jenniffer Gonzalez visited Washington to advocate for the island to become the 51st state.
