Onze ans après le début du conflit en Syrie, le Covid-19 et la guerre en Ukraine ont aggravé la situation dans le pays. Peter Maurer vient de rencontrer Bachar al-Assad. Dans un entretien accordé à France 24, le président du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge explique avoir l’impression que le président syrien est "conscient de l’environnement international et de la pression que cela exerce sur la Syrie". Bachar al-Assad est "reconnaissant du travail humanitaire, mais aussi très clair dans sa vision que les choses ne peuvent pas continuer comme ça", explique-t-il aussi.
