The Center for the Humanities at Tufts University, in partnership with the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy (CSRD) and the Office of Provost, invites applications for a residential postdoctoral fellowship beginning July 1, 2024. The fellowship is for one year, with the possibility of extension for a second year. The fellow will take a leading role in a university-wide collaborative research project to examine the history of slavery, colonialism, and their legacies at Tufts. We seek a junior scholar with expertise in African American History, Afro-Indigenous Studies, Public History, and/or the History of Universities. The successful applicant will have been awarded their PhD degree before beginning the appointment.
