Point Fortin man in hospital after stabbing, woman held - Trinidad and Tobago Newsday

A 41-year-old man from Point Fortin has been hospitalised after a female relative stabbed him during an argument at his home on Thursday night.

The victim, Anslem Belfast, was at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) on Friday.

The police detained the suspect, 29, who was still in custody without charge on Friday.

Police said at around 10.45 pm on Thursday, Belfast and the woman argued at his home. She reportedly stabbed him in the stomach with a knife .

He was taken to the Point Fortin Hospital and transferred to the SFGH.
