Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Dr. Carissa F Etienne has urged the Region of the Americas, including the Caribbean, to immediately intensify public health interventions on social distancing, limiting gatherings, wearing masks, and handwashing to limit exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic.
