Today, Tommie Smith and John Carlos.Olympians Tommie Smith and John Carlos impacted my life in a very indirect way.But they impacted a lot of other people’s lives in a much more directly.During the medal ceremony in the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City on October 16, 1968, Smith and Carlos, who are African-American, each
