But, an archaeological excavation at an ancient city of Volubilis in northern Morocco has revealed a watchtower of Roman origin in Africa. This discovery which had been buried for ages is the first of its kind. It is being linked with the activities of the Roman Empire in the fifth century CE in Morocco.
