Texas — NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported early Monday that star Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot, multiple Cowboys, and Houston Texans players have tested positive for COVID-19.

Both Cowboys and Texans players positive test can be credited to a resurgence of COVID-19 in the state of Texas.

Just three days removed from Houston opening things back up at 75 percent capacity, the state of Texas is experiencing record hospitalizations in six of the past seven days.

Texas joins Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Washington, and other NFL states that are experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases.
