By: Tadi Abedje There is another serious situation in the state of Minnesota amid the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. After worldwide protests and demonstrations, former officer Derek Chauvin, who put his knee on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes, was found guilty on all three counts and was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison. Almost a year later since the day of Floyd’s murder, there have been three young Black kids who have been shot within a few weeks of each other.
