Emergency personnel transported a male individual to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a shooting incident on Marie Therese Street, Gros Islet, about 2:00 pm, residents say. People in the community said that Eden Charles, alias 'Eve', was sitting near a restaurant when a gunman opened fire, hitting him at least twice in the upper body. According to reports, the gunman had earlier alighted from a vehicle. Residents told St Lucia Times that law enforcement officers on patrol in the area rushed to the scene, went in hot pursuit of the vehicle, and arrested two suspects. There are no further details
