Lisa A. Williams-Fauntroy

Ms. Williams-Fauntroy manages and handles business and legal affairs matters for the Discovery Channel and TLC networks.

Currently as a business and legal affairs executive, Lisa works closely with the development, production and programming teams at the network as they produce creative and engaging content for the Discovery Channel and TLC. Her current practice area includes complex deal negotiations and contract drafting for Discovery’s television productions, advising internal clients on content liability, libel and defamation, and copyright issues.

Williams-Fauntroy is as a board member on the national board of NAMIC (National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications) and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC. She serves as a mentor to professional women both inside and outside of her company and she is a regular contributor to the Practicing Law Institute’s Faculty on Counseling Clients in the Entertainment Industry.
