Le Sénat de la République s'arrange aux côtés des associations et des acteurs politiques qui dénoncent l’augmentation des prix des produits pétroliers.

En effet, la chambre haute se dit extrêmement préoccupée par la dégradation de la situation socio-économique du pays. Elle estime qu'en prenant la décision de réviser à la hausse les coûts de l'essence à la pompe, le gouvernement n'a pas tenu compte des conséquences négatives qu'une telle mesure pourrait avoir sur les couches les plus vulnérables du pays.
