Dear Editor,

In his golden gift to the literary world the 12th century Persian poet, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher  Omar Khayyam and author of “The Rubaiyat” wrote the following illuminating quatrain:-

Yon rising Moon that looks for us again

How oft hereafter will she wax and wane;

How oft  hereafter rising look for us

Through this same Garden and for one in vain.

The article Late Ambassador Denny represented Guyana with brilliance and dignity appeared first on Stabroek News.
