Kim Nelson is senior vice president of External Relations, and president of the General Mills Foundation.

Nelson previously was president of the General Mills Snacks Unlimited division, where she was responsible for the profitable growth of some of America’s favorite snack brands, including Nature Valley granola bars, Betty Crocker fruit snacks and Chex Mix.

Nelson has been a corporate officer of General Mills since 2000. Her career spans leadership roles on brands including Hamburger Helper, Old El Paso, Cheerios, Wheaties, Yoplait, Nature Valley and Chex Mix.

Nelson was a founding member of both the Black Champions Network and the Women in Marketing Network. Those organizations focus on enhancing the experiences of African-Americans and women within General Mills.
