Four members of the Imo State House of Assembly have been suspended for allegedly plotting to impeach the Speaker, Chike Olemgbe. The suspended members were Samuel Otuibe (Ahiazu-Mbaise), Henry Agbasonu (Ezinihitte-Mbaise), Chidiebere Ogbunikpa (Okigwe) and Dominic Ezerioha (Oru-West). Announcing the suspension during plenary on Tuesday, Olemgbe said the decision was taken at the Executive Section. The Speaker also announced that all standing Committees belonging to the suspended members had been retrieved from them.
