Ghana reports first case of mpox this year; almost 35,000 cases reported in Africa since January | Africanews

As parts of Africa struggle to contain a surge in mpox cases, Ghana has confirmed its first case of the year. The affected child is in a stable condition, health officials say. Nearly 35,000 cases of the disease have been recorded on the continent since the beginning of this year.
