Some inclined to vote for Trump reason that he was president before and things seemed to be OK. The economy was good (until COVID). There were no new wars. But there were new wars — between Americans. Trump's relentless lies and incitement have transformed this country into a less rational and less generous nation. That alone should be reason enough to vote for his opponent. One election is not going to repair the damage to our national character. But another term of Trump could be enough to tip the scales for a long time to come.
