His mission was not selfish, it was Scriptural. Our missions are going nowhere because they are about us; they are selfish. God is asking us to derive our missions from Scripture. If we read His Word and pray ceaselessly He will reveal to us what this is through His Word. Depend on God. Obey and serve only Him. Jesus did it, how much more is the same expected of us?
