The comedian opened his performance by unfolding a piece of paper and reading a statement which he hoped would serve as an example for the controversial rapper who has been facing backlash for antisemitic comments. “I denounce antisemitism in all its forms. And I stand with my friends in the Jewish community. And that, Kanye, is how you buy yourself some time,” Chappelle said.
