Martinique airlifted six patients who are severely ill with COVID-19 to Paris on Saturday night, bringing to eleven the number of infected individuals who have been flown to the French capital since July 31. The six patients, who left aboard a special Air Caraïbes flight, were accompanied by 22 caregivers including emergency doctors specializing in medical evacuation, local reports say. According to RCI FM, Martinique officials hope the transfer of COVID-19 patients to France will intensify to the point where there will be two weekly flights, each carrying eight infected individuals. A rapid upsurge in cases of the virus in the
