During the Covid-19 briefing at Afya House in the capital Nairobi on Monday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Mercy Mwangangi said of those who tested positive, 70 are Kenyans.
Fifty-two of them were tested in the capital Nairobi.
Ms Mwangangi added that the country has trained 11,000 healthcare workers and 60,000 community health workers to increase capacity of workers.
Kenya has also established isolation and quarantine facilities in all counties, “with a total bed capacity of over 5,000,” the statement from the ministry says.
