By Briasia Russ From claims of harsh comments to open hostility, the officers at the University of Washington came together to fill a multimillion-dollar damage claim.   According to The Daily, the officers didn’t specify the names of who made the comments. Instead, they emphasized that the racial comments made their jobs unbearable.   Officer Karin Young at the university reported in her claim that she would find bananas at her locker, with one including a note calling her a monkey.   Officer Hamani Nowlen reported being hit with a stick object and being told “you people should be used to getting hit with these.”  […]
