Au débat général de la 77e session ordinaire de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, le Premier ministre Ariel Henry s'est fait représenter par son ministre des Affaires étrangères, Jean Victor Généus. Dans son discours, il a appelé l'international à soutenir son pays afin de parvenir à un dénouement de la crise.
