L’un des plus grands photojournalistes en Haïti, Dieu-Nalio Chéry, a abandonné le territoire national. Il a été contraint de laisser le pays ainsi que sa famille pour se réfugier à l’étranger. Le multi-primé recevait des menaces de mort du groupe armé « G9 an fanmi ak alye » après avoir été témoin d’un massacre perpétré par ces civiles armés sur la route de l’aéroport international Toussaint Louverture.
