Angola: COVID-19 - Electricity, Water Bills Should Be Paid Until July

Luanda — The consumer should regulate the late bill payment of electricity and water services of the State of Emergency period until 26 July, said Monday the Minister of State and Head of the Civil House of President, Adão de Almeida.

Speaking on the Presidential Decree on State of Calamity in force as from this Tuesday 26 May, Adão de Almeida explained that the bill payment can be done step by step and once completed those who did not comply with, will face cuts.

"Until 26 July, two months, people must regulate their bills being able to make phased payment.

It is not an obligatory to be paid in a single installment, but after 27 July the authorities will turn back to the normal routine", clarified Adão de Almeida.

"In the scope of regularization and the reference periods (60 days), it also covers the renewal processes for all documents that have expired during the State of Emergency", said the minister
