After Anticipated Affirmative Action Ruling, Black Leaders Speak Out | BlackPressUSA

NNPA NEWSWIRE — The 6-3 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court will alter college admissions policies. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., writing the opinion for the majority, said the programs “unavoidably employ race in a negative manner” and “involve racial stereotyping,” in violation of the Constitution.  The ruling affirmed that race-conscious admissions programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina are unconstitutional.
