As former President Donald Trump has received a third indictment, this time for his alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, a Black woman will preside over the case. Judge Tanya Chutkan was randomly assigned to the case by the court, and has had experience dealing with Trump in the past as well as experience handing down tough sentences to Jan.6th attackers.
