$120-m aid for COVID-19-hit fisheries sector

THE Government is to recapitalise the fisheries sector to the tune of $120 million this financial year, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Floyd Green informed the House of Representatives on Tuesday.More than 50 per cent of the funding - $67 million - will be distributed to 4,740 licensed fishers across 137 fishing communities.
